How to Apply a Permit to the Great Lakes of Kashmir 

The Wildlife Department of Jammu and Kashmir does not have an online registration system. You can apply for a permit in person at the Wildlife Department office in Srinagar. The address of the office is:

  • Wildlife Department,
  • Government of Jammu and Kashmir,
  • Srinagar,
  • Jammu and Kashmir,
  • India.

When you apply for a permit, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your passport number
  • The dates of your trip
  • The purpose of your trip
  • The route you plan to take

You will also need to pay a permit fee. The fee is currently Rs. 500 for Indian nationals and Rs. 1000 for foreign nationals.

Once you have applied for a permit, you will be notified of the status of your application within a few days. If your application is approved, you will be issued a permit. You will need to carry your permit with you when you visit the Great Lakes of Kashmir.
